Creating a Ubolt Channel T Post using the CADWorx 2016 Support Assembly Modeler
With the release of CADWorx 2016 came a new feature, a 3D Intelligent Pipe Support Modeler which is available from the 3D Pipe Support Palette. This utility allows Users to model 3D Intelligent Pipe Support Assemblies live within the 3D Model.
These Pipe Support Assemblies can then be saved back into the CADWorx Specification Project File at the click of a button, allowing Users to reuse previously modeled Supports on other projects.
The Lengths and Sizes of these dynamic supports can be edited upon insertion and dynamic connection points adjust, ensuring that components are still assembled in the correct position when these adjustments are made.
These supports can also be edited after placement
Long and Short Description Schema can also built up using fields to ensure that component Long Descriptions are also automatically updated when component sizes change.
Please follow the link below to download a PDF Tutorial on how to create an example Ubolt Channel T Post using the CADWorx 2016 Support Assembly Modeler.

CAU Express 2016
Following up on the highly successful CAU Express 2015, Intergraph are
once again joining forces with Chempute to host the CAU Express 2016.
Intergraph are again sending out a team of product specialists for technical
presentations of CAESAR, PVELITE and CADWorx.
This one day event will be
held at Focus Rooms, Sunninghill, Gauteng on the 9th March 2016.
CAU Express 2016 will consist of in depth, interactive training sessions on CADWorx, CAESAR II, and PV Elite as well as reviews on some of the upcoming features in future releases of these solutions. These sessions are all packed into a one-day, high-powered learning experience.
Intergraph CADWorx, CAESAR II and PV Elite product experts will be
assisting Users in expanding their technical knowledge that will not only leave
you well informed, but assist you in improving current workflows and becoming a
better plant designer and engineer, all while networking and sharing your
experience with others. CPD Points will also be obtained for attending the
Caesar II, and PV Elite training sessions.
Each event will be capped off with product focused Special Interest Groups and an optional networking reception dinner in the form of a social braai.
Why Should You Attend?
What differentiates CAU Express from similar industry events, is that Intergraph
is staging the event locally in various countries around the world, and the
event provides specific focus on providing technical information to the end
user, rather than a focus on product marketing. It is the user-centered,
interactive hands on approach that sets this event apart from others.
- Enhance and refine
technical skills
- Learn Latest tips and
tricks
- Become more productive
and effective
- Network with other
experienced users and industry peers

CAU you learn things from the sessions and other users you meet, that you would
never find in the user manuals."
