Customizing a User Defined Title Block and Material List in the Isogen I-Configure

As most Users are already aware, a new enhancement with the CADWorx Plant Professional 2015 release is the Isogen Enterprise Control Panel allowing End Users to quickly search and easily customize various settings and configuration in an Isogen Drawing Style.

However, questions that are still frequently put through to Support include, "How are User Title Blocks and Borders added to an Isogen Style?", or, "How is the Bill of Material customized to ensure the correct attributes are placed  in the correct columns?", etc.

By following the link below, Users can download a PDF that will guide them through the entire process of importing their company Title Blocks into their Isogen Style, customizing the Bill of Material to include required columns and attributes as well as how to position and define automatic Project Data attributes in the title Block Header.

Intergraph are again sending out a team of product specialists for technical presentations of CAESAR, PVELITE, CADWorx and GT Strudl, a Steel Analysis Solution that was recently added to Intergraph’s already extensive software catalogue.

This one day event will be held at Focus Rooms, Sunninghill, Gauteng on the 1st April 2015.

CAU Express 2015 will consist of in depth, interactive training sessions on CADWorx, CAESAR II, and PV Elite, GT Strudl as well as a reviews on some of the upcoming features in future releases. These sessions are all packed into a one-day, high-powered learning experience.

Intergraph CADWorx, CAESAR II, PV Elite and GT Strudl product experts will be assisting Users in expanding their technical knowledge that will not only leave you well informed, but assist you in improving current workflows and becoming a better plant designer and engineer, all while networking and sharing your experience with others. CPD Points will also be obtained for attending the Caesar II, PVElite and GT Strudl training sessions.

Each event will be capped off with product focused Special Interest Groups and an optional networking reception dinner in the form of a social braai.

Why Should You Attend?

What differentiates CAU Express from similar industry events, is that Intergraph is staging the event locally in various countries around the world, and the event provides specific focus on providing technical information to the end user, rather than a focus on product marketing.   It is the user-centered, interactive hands on approach that sets this event apart from others.

  • Enhance and refine technical skills
  • Learn Latest tips and tricks
  • Increase productivity
  • Network with other experienced users
  • Learn about recent product developments
  • Obtain ongoing opportunities to enhance your learning experience

Here is what our past attendees are saying:

"At CAU you learn things from the sessions and other users you meet, that you would never find in the user manuals."

"I was extremely impressed with the standard of presentations the depth of knowledge shown by those who presented, also those who attended. If there is one event that best suits engineers and designers in our industry it must surely be this one."

“Truly enjoyed all the information shared, best of show goes to the interaction with all the Staff and Attendees at this conference.  All had great information to share and look forward to sharing more with all in the future.”

How to Create and Import Backups of Isogen Projects and Styles

Often, to ensure that work is not lost through File Corruption or System Crashes, backups need to be created of most files. Isogen Project Directories or Files can also be backed up, to ensure all set Isogen Configurations are saved to a location and can be restored if need be.

Isogen I Configure has the ability to create backups of Isogen Projects/Styles to ensure that time spent on configuring Isogen Projects/Styles are not lost to a "PC or File Apocalypse".

The same method can also be useful for sharing Isogen Projects or Styles between workstations that are not linked to the same Network, as well as sending Isogen Styles to a Technical Support Consultant. This can be useful when Technical Support Consultants require your Isogen Projects/Styles to reproduce an error or review the current setting in an End User's Isogen Style.

Below is a link to PDF that contains step by step instructions on how to backup Isogen Styles as well as restore the created backups.
